JOBB Participates in Shanghai American School's Fall Festival Celebration
Buy bread, buy bread, come get Ruifeng's bread!’—From afar, you could see Chen Jingyu, wearing a rainbow wig and waving a small flag, enthusiastically calling out to passersby. It was a heartwarming and amusing sight at the Shanghai American School's anniversary celebration.
In mid-October, Ruifeng non profit, together with the JOBB project, was invited by the French Salon of Shanghai American School to attend the school's annual fall carnival. Led by a teacher, three special students took part in the lively event, which featured food, crafts, fun games, and wonderful performances. The array of booths was impressive, drawing in many students, parents, and community members.
JOBB was fortunate enough to have its own dedicated booth, with Shi Yunyun, Teng Xiongzhen, and Chen Jingyu taking turns handling different responsibilities—introducing the project, enthusiastically promoting the bread, and managing the cash register. The initial nervousness gradually faded thanks to the friendliness and patience of those around them. As their confidence grew and sales went well, they began to experience the joy of selling. For these students, this was not only an opportunity to showcase what they had learned but also a valuable exercise in community engagement. This is exactly the vision of the JOBB project: empowerment through more than just skills training but also by giving these young people the ability to integrate into society. We hope each student can feel the support of the community and, through their own efforts, give back to it
