JOBB Admits Three Students from Ganlin Junior Vocational School: Empowering Through Skills, JOBB is on the Way!
The first phase of JOBB’s enrollment at Ganlin Junior Vocational School in Putuo District, Shanghai (Caoyang Vocational School Special Education Branch) has concluded. After careful consideration, JOBB has decided to admit three candidates to participate in the first phase of the public welfare baking training program.
The written exam included basic knowledge of culture and mathematics. Since French baking requires precise and strict measurements of ingredients like flour and butter, basic math operations were an important focus of the exam.
The on-site interviews focused on understanding the candidates' personality traits and family background. The JOBB team was divided into two groups to interview all applicants one by one. Face-to-face interactions provided a direct understanding of the candidates’ communication skills, logical thinking, and passion for baking. The comprehensive support from their families was also a key factor in ensuring the success of the first phase of the JOBB project.
All applicants left a deep impression on us. The three selected candidates stood out due to their understanding of the baking process, professional attitude towards food service, and diverse interests. One candidate vividly described the entire process of making pepper and salt mandarin duck pastries during the interview. He detailed every step and even warned, “If the crust stays in the oven for more than 30 minutes, it will become too hard to bite.” His parents marveled at how their fridge was filled with these pastries from his countless experiments.
Public welfare must always be connected to the national context and keep pace with the times. Through the JOBB project, Rui Feng Public Welfare’s focus extends beyond economically disadvantaged groups to a broader audience. We are grateful to Ganlin Junior Vocational School for allowing the JOBB project to enter the school and reach special students.
